I need a video converter?

I want to convert movies that I downloaded on my computer so that i can put them on DVDS...for free

a dvd that you can watch on home entertainment systems? i'm assuming so.

you may find it very hard (especially for pc users) to do this. mac offer better options that are free and come with the system when you purchase it. the only thing i can think of for you is some sort of pc version of 'toast' or nero but unfortunately nothing is free.

with the lack of information you provided about the equipment you're using, I'll assume you're using a PC and need to know which program you can use to edit videos and burn DVDs with... for free. the only thing that should cost you anything in this case are the blank DVDs. your computer should have come bundled with at least 2 different editing programs 1.) Sonic DVD and 2.) Windows Movie Maker. I recommend #1. but whatever you choose, you should be able to get the job done. good luck!
