I need a virus scan that is totally free with a vault to remove viruses. Any suggestions? I have windows "98

My computer is somewhat of a dinosaur and is really giving me problems. I can't open alot of files. The computer keeps telling me that there is an illegal operation, and has to be shut down and rebooted.

Then install Avira Anti Virus :)

No anti-virus with "on-access" protection or more advanced features like "vaults" are made for Windows 98 anymore. The only ones that are available do scans only when told to.

Yo ok bascilly windows 98's protection is gone and its support but i think windows live onecare safty scaner will help and remove it or try avg it might work search them both on diff pc and live onecare safty scanner you dont even have to install it to your pc its free from microsoft
