I have a flight tomorrow from the Newark Intl Airport to San Francisco at 6 PM but the flights there keep getting delayed and I have a flight to LA at 10 the next morning.. I really need to get back by at least 6 AM. What can I do so I dont miss my LA flight?? How much do you think the flight will be delayed? (it says there's thunderstorms tomorrow)

  1. Your question doesn't really make a lot of sense.  You say your flight from SFO to LAX is at 10am the following day...but you need to get back by 6am????  That being said, delays out of Newark are inevitable, even on the clearest, sunniest day.  If there is going to be thunderstorms, your chances of having delays is even greater.

  2. Your flight should arrive in San Francisco around 9:00 or 9:30pm.  The chance of your flight being delayed over 12 hours is very slim.

  3. why are you just flying Newark to Los Angeles direct why do you have to go to San Francisco first?

  4. I hate to tell you with things like that there isn't anything you can really do sweetie. I was in the same position I had a flight that was supposed to arrive home at 2pm so I could get packed again & take another bus ride to NY at 5am the next day got put in the exact situation & stuck at an air port till 11pm.

I ended up crying to the lady who worked there telling them why I needed to get home (I only got to see my fiancee every 11 weeks at the time & I missed him BADLY) I think that had a lot to with why I got magically bumped up to the flight I was on. It also helped I had a lay over the night before so all I had was the clothes I was wearing & a bag of Cd's, bear, & stuff (no tooth brush or brush) so I looked really pathetic.

That might help look pathetic & cry worked for me.

  5. Call your airline and see if you can fly stand by on an earlier flight. Sometimes they will let you do so if there is a weather system on the way.
