I need advice about getting a lawyer?

My bf needs a lawyer and the court told him to get a public attourney and he tried. They told him he makes too much money. He can only claim himself on their paper work but he supports everyone in our household but to the Public Defenders Office that doesn't matter.

So we went around looking and meeting with Lawyers and they all want a couple thousand to start. We don't have that kind of money, we live pay check to pay check.

What is our next option?

We have already been down the road of talking to relatives and at this point in time no one has the extra money.

What can he do?

You're either going to have to sell your car or take out a personal loan.  You are between a rock and a hard place.
