I need advice about opening up a small business or market stall... where can i get genuine wholesale products?

just researching for a friend in London who's looking into opening up a business... in any area really, preferrably electronics or apparell (children, men or women) Even a market stall would be a good beginning especially because he's on a tight tight tight budget. so im guessing something that has potential but is low cost to set up. all advise is appreciated and welcomed even things to look out for etc...

  1. Lots of stuff on EBay in the wholesale section. Have a look at WH Smiths for a copy of 'Trader' magazine. It's a bit like the old Exchange and Mart but specifically for traders. They even have an online version http://www.thetrader.co.uk/

    If he's interested in 'different' clothing he could also try the colleges and find young designers who want an outlet...depends on what he wants to sell.
