I need advice....any college counselors or doctors out there?

So im going to start applying to college in a few months and i want to be a doctor. Im looking at schools in the UK that offer a 5 year medical program awarding you with a bachelors in medicine. I was wondering if this would be valid in the U.S. and if it would allow me to practice as a doctor and how i would transfer my degree to the U.S. if anyone has any answers or references i would really appreciate it

I have mostly similiar plans for college :)

I don't know all the info, but I have been reading about some people going to med school in the UK, and then taking an exam for foreign doctors before practicing in the US...
