Difference being alcoholics go to meetings.

What is the best tasting, easy drink that you like the most when your drinking with your friends?

Preferrably ones that don't require 5 different types of booze.

  1. I think I am uniquely qualified to answer this one- check the avatar.  Gotta go with a martini...

Seriously, different people have different tastes.  I like Gin, red wine and beer, but someone else will like different things.

Drink what you find good and ignore the rest.  If you plan on drinking to excess- stick to one thing that you can see through- based on my experience the hangover is worse with the colored mixed stuff.

  2. shots of anything, chased with soda or juice.

cheap beer out of beer bongs.

  3. A Jack & Coke (Jack Daniels, Coca Cola), or a rum & coke are very easy, smooth tasting drinks that require zero knowledge to make.

As noted by cdn24fan, a martini is a good option if you can avoid the blight on humanity that is the multi-flavoured martini (the chocotini, the appletini, the insert-name-of-fruit-here-tini).

A vodka collins (made with vodka and collins mix) or a seabreeze (vodka and cranberry juice) is another option that even the mouth-breathers can make.

If I'm at a cocktail party I'll usually drink Johnnie Walker Black Label on the rocks; a drink of shocking simplicity (or whatever halfway drinkable scotch they have.  The bartender likes me because he/she doesn't have to do anything, and can then try to figure out what a Lichtensteinian Flaming Jibberjabber is.

  4. Scotch and soda - very smooth

  5. Red wine, preferably Cabernet.  Nice, tasty & simple.
