  1. When I went to college I met a few home schooled kids and they were socially retarded.  Please let your kids grow up, learn and interact with people of their own age.  Some of the greatest lessons of life are learned from dealing with different people in different situations (good and bad) while growing up.

  2. I would talk to your local school system for advice, here, you will get mostly dumn answers that will get you nowhere.

  3. Okay i can get my moms SN for you if you want because she home schooled me my sister and my brother from pre kay, to the begining of middle school.

if i can help just ask<3

    my moms email is  dardygirl7777@gmail.com

  4. Go to hslda.org and look up  organizations in your state.  You will find better help from people familiar with the laws and people in your own area.

  5. Each state is different reguarding what is needed to start and if you or your parents are needed to register you with your county.

Below is a link where you can find some homeschool groups in your state and you can contact them for more info.

I have yet to meet a college professor that has thought homeschooled students were socially inept.  Probably the students on campus that are products of the public school mill/factory that churns out such bodies might think have that opinion because homeschooled students are leaps and bounds further along in maturity and life skills than their peers.

It will be hard work for you!  My middle schooler works long hours but he is by far more attuned to life and what matters than his public school counterparts.

  6. Email me. I know some homeschoolers in TN. Maybe they could help you out.

  7. You really need to tell us where you live in order for us to help you. Laws vary from state to state. I live in Alabama, and you have to register with an umbrella/church school. Then basically you search around until you find the right one for you (Based on your faith or lack thereof, type of homeschooling you wish to do, cost, etc.) This website helped me out a ton with getting started, I'm sure it will help you.

And also, for when you start looking for curriculums, let me suggest Abeka books. I have used them for many years and they are great!

    Happy Homeschooling! =)
