  1. I agree with Melissa- a bbq would be best and kinda festive for his visit!  steak, chicken, dogs, burgers...whatever they like most and potatoe salad, watermelon...yummy!

  2. I know this sounds cheap of me to say because it's one h**l of a cheap meal, but seriously. I love it and my boyfriend goes nuts-o for it.

Go buy the Italian flavored Hamburger Helper for like $1.25. You'll probably need 2 or 3 boxes if you're feeding that many mouths. Grab some onion, pepper, and whatever else you'd like in it. You'll also need a pound of hamburger for each box that you decide to make. Follow the simple directions and cut up the veggies. Add the veggies when the meat is almost done. It only takes a few minutes to cook, uses hardly any dishes, and is SO good.

I make it maybe twice a week because of how cheap, easy, convenient, and good it is. For as long as it's cheap like that, I'll probably make it forever. :)

  3. Try a cookout!! so you have a whole lot of food!!

  4. I say a good old fashion weinie roast! It's an ageless thing to do. Grab some supplies for s'mores. If not I agree with everyone who says grill out. Pick a main meat that everyone likes then make each persons favorite side---let your youngest help for some bonding time.

  5. With the weather getting warmer, lasagna's out, I'm guessing.  So fire up the grill.  If everyone likes burgers or brats go that route.  Potato salad, chips & salsa, fresh fruit, whatever you'd normally have.  Your college son will love your home cooking, period.  It doesn't have to be fancy or too involved.
