  1. Harrow's pretty good territory for anyone looking for flats etc at the moment. There are several big purpose-built blocks just nearing completion (the kind popular with buy-to-letters), so competition is very keen to get good tenants.

The new-build projects currently under construction include Bradstowe House, in central Harrow next to the shopping centre and a couple of minutes' walk from Harrow-on-the-Hill tube and bus station; the Arc, by the Piccadilly line and a few minutes' walk from South Harrow tube, plus three more in South Harrow (by Waitrose, by the police station, and opposite the police station).

Apart from these purpose-built modern apartments, most of the housing in the Harrow area is Edwardian -- so there are lots of maisonettes in terraced and semi-detached houses.

The area's excellent for transport (Metropolitan, Central and Piccadilly lines plus Chiltern mainline) and shopping (all usual chain stores in the main shopping area).

It's very multi-racial and multi-cultural but it has a good record of everyone jogging along together. Crime is on the low side for London.

    Hope that helps.

(I have friends who live there, and I work around the area quite a bit.)
