I'm 19 years old, and I'm a full-time student at a community college. When I was a freshman in high school; I didn't really like football. I didn't start liking football until I was a senior in high school. Now I love football; like I never get enough of the sport. I haven't learned how the sport is played, but have watched football games hundred of times.

I don't believe that I didn't like football when I was a freshman in high school. I can't stop regretting it. My life would be almost perfect if I became a football player in high school. I'm having a hard time making friends, and if I was a football player; I would have ton for friends already. I would already have a good body. Now my life sucks; because I didn't love footbalol when I should have.

It sucks because I never have any guy friends to play or watch football with. I get really mad at myself sometimes about this....ADVICE?

  1. go out make friends    then u have friends do whatever u want go to the movies or throw a football  and playing football doesn't guarantee u friends  so yeah make friends and if u wanna play football so bad just be a walk on in ur college team

  2. Honest advice? Grow up. Thats all you gotta do. Who cares how many friends you had in high school, how popular you were, or any of that c**p. I was in the same situation, killed the football players in my PE class, and ran circles around them, could have been an all state player with d-1 scholarships... but I was too short to play my position (QB) I was a 5'7 Senior. Our left tackle (Durham, now at Kentucky, was 6'5. Thacker was 6'7, and Jacobs was 6'5. I was way too short to play QB, and coach wanted me as an ATH. I was used primarily to play QB during option, or QB draw... and I hated it. I wanted to be full time QB, so I quit. I regret it, but life goes on. Join some flag football leagues.

Oh yea, one more thing..... not playing... SAVED YOU SOME TROUBLE WITH HURTING BODY PARTS LATER ON

  3. To be real: Get a job. Unless you miraculously have a football body, know how to read a plabook, have great conditinon, etc., most likely your football dreams will be crushed. Just keeping it real. There once was this story about some guy working at a Subway in a college I think, and one of the college's football players came up and noticed the guy was rather big and buff, so he asked if he ever played football. The Subway guy said no and the player told him to come try out for the team. Now the Subway guy never played football ever in his life but he made the team as a walk on and he became a star.

  4. Just because you didn't love football then doesn't mean you still can't make a change.  Also let me clear up this myth that being a football player will get you friends.  The fact is that you can have friends whether you play football or not.  Sure you have the fans, and the groupies, along with the fame, but to say that being a football player is the only way to get friends?  Thats hogwash.  If you want to make friends talk to people in your school.  Get to know their interest.  Don't regret the things you didn't do in the past.  Besides, you can still play the sport.  Why not talk to students at your school and see if they are interested.  If not you could always post ads online inviting those who are interest to play football with you.  One thing about life, that is there is always room for change, and to do something new.  Its not too late.  Your 19, not 90.  Put yourself out there, be friendly, and see what happens..
