Well my birthday is coming up in a week and i know i'm getting money. But the past week i've been buying things online maybe close to a hundred dollars worth. Plus i also owe two friends money. I owe one friend $150 and another $50 and I'm still looking at online shops and thinking if I should buy more things. I need advice on how to manage the cash ! Should I splurge on buying things because my birthday is coming or should I pay my debts even though I know I won't have any to spend on myself ? Thank you in advance.

  1. Pay off your debts. It's better to have no money and have a clear name and conscience than to owe money and pass as a thief. When your name is clear, you'll always get money when you'll need it. I don't recommend you do this kind of balancing act with a credit card, it'll cost you big time!

  2. Pay your debts, or you'll lose friends.  You'll have another birthday next year!

  3. Clear your debts because you borrowed the money from your friends. You don't want to be thought of as untrustworthy to them when it comes to money. (Especially since you racked up $150. I'm surprised your friends haven't nagged you for payment.) The things you want to buy won't disappear, so you can wait for them.

  4. Pay off the debt. If you don't pay your friends back and just continue to blow any money you get, they won't lend you cash when you really really need it.

  5. My suggestion is first of all your preference should be clearing your debts. Your friends helped you when you were in need. They must have given the money that they had planned for. So its better to repay your debts first and if anything left you can do your shopping.

  6. I personally think that you should clear your debts first. Your friends are kind enough to lend you money so it is wise to pay them back as fast as possible. About buying, you always can buy other time. Clear your debts as soon as you have sufficient money.

  7. Pay your debts then learn some self control. Create a budget and stop splurging to the point of having to owe your friends $200+
