  1. What are you laws in your state.

In my state a boy and a girl can NOT share a room if one of them is 12 or older.

IMO, put the 11 in one of the small rooms.  explain that she or he gets the room because they are older.  then put the 7 and 8 year old in the average room together and the 4 year old in the other small bedroom.

OR put the boys together in the average bed room and the girls in the separate 2 small bedrooms.

  2. Sounds like the girls should have the two small, the boys together in the average room, and the parents in the large bedroom.  (Especially if it is one with a private bath.)  You may want to start thinking about adding on a play room just for the kids (not the family room) and another bathroom for when all these kids are teenagers!

  3. Each girl in one of the small bedrooms as they do not want to share.

Both boys in the average sized bedroom, maybe in bunk beds or at least loft type beds that are stacked in some way.  Going vertical always gives you more room!  Perhaps hubby could build something that would put the beds in an L configuration with desks or storage under the raised one.

Mom and Dad in the large bedroom.
