okay, so I dropped off my resume at this private school, for a job as a teacher's aide.

I called a few days later to follow up, and the woman said, "oh yes, Mrs. Shultz got your resume, we're just waiting to hear back from David, so you should hear from us on Monday"

I don't know who David or Mrs. Shultz is.. I just said, "okay, thanks" cause I was sort of flustered.

Anyways, I haven't heard anything, should I call again? if so, what should I say?

  1. You did nothing wrong and yes, you should call tomorrow if you hear nothing by the end of today. Following up does impress an employer as it shows an eagerness to get the job. Be sure that if you call tomorrow, you explain that you were told this by the last person. Get a name and phone number (or e-mail) of whoever is the contact for this position (Principal or HR person) and get another date to hear back from him/her.

    Best of luck!
