I am cleaning house and having a yard sale. I have tons of clothes, what price do women and baby clothes usually sell for at yard sales? What about baby toys and household items, such as picture frames, books, and kitchen utensils? Shoes? Also, DVD's, CD's?

  1. The suggested pricing in an article, "Seven Foolproof Steps for a Fun and Profitable Yard Sale"says:

"Mark everything with a price — and we mean everything. If not, you'll end your day wishing you'd never heard the words, 'How much is this?' As a rule of thumb, price items at about a quarter of their price when new. For small items, a bit of masking tape with a price in ballpoint or fine line marker works well. For larger items, make a larger sign... you can't expect your shoppers to go hunting for a tiny swatch of tape somewhere on a full size sofa or dining room set."

The article has a ton of other useful hints.  Hope it helps!

  2. You'll find mostly shoes and clothes are a hard sell, because nobody wants to wear items worn for other people. Other then that you should be aright. Clothes you can always but into a clothing bin by a church or else where for the poor.

  3. dvd's $ 1-5
