I need advice please!?

Question

I have been looking online at acting auditions. I know I really want to do this but I'm not sure how my mom will react. How should I bring up that I want to audition? How should I tell her?

Just do what I did.  Casually bring it up, say, "I wanna act."  Simple as that.  If your mom is a good mother, she'll be supportive.

and go to talentagents.blogspot.com and click table of contents and click the city near you and call all those agencys asking if they represent girrs/boys your age and if they say yes ask if theres any fees you have to pay and if thye say no but they charge 10-20 % of what you make then theyre a real agency and then ask how you can submit yourself and do that with every agency and every agency that sasy yes write on a peice of paper and how to submit for each one.

and also build up your resume by doin plays and taking acting and singing classes and join your church choir and school choir

if you want to audition you will need an agent and you will need headshots. go to one model place.com and sign up and there are plenty of good photographers who will do tfp(time for print) then you can get yourself some pics and send them to agents. if the agent wants you then you will recieve a call back. after you sign with an agency you will start getting auditions to places they send you to. they decide which role is best for you.

remember a real agent will never charge you for signing with them. you dont need to spend any money up front in order to get an agent. unless you are signing up for some school instead of an agent , you will not be charged for anything. the agent will probably offer to take your pics but that you will have to pay for, that is why i say go to onemodelplace.com because the agent will not make you use their photographer.

i have three agents and know the industry, so please dont get screwed or taken advantage of.

explain that you've been thinking about acting for a while and ask her to let you completely finish talking before she answers. be really detailed that way she'll know you put thought into it. and don't push it. if your mom's like my mom she'll "think about it".

let her. it may turn out in your favor.

Jsut calm down! I know how you feel!

Just bring it up at dinner or either at a time that you can be alone with her! Just say

'mom'

'yes?'

'Okay I wanna tell you something but I don't know what you will think! So can you plz not get mad or anything I really wanna do this!'

'okay....' (she will probebly be nervous now)

'I REALLY wanna adition for this acting thing! I really LOVE acting and it is what I REALLy wanna do! But I didn't know what you would say!'

then I don't know what she will say I hope you can find out!
