I need advice regarding the fafsa -parent information??

Well technically i dont qualify for fafsa, my parents are married but they do their taxes seperate, so since i filled independent cause i worked 07 its basically adding my income w my mom so any way my question is on my moms taxes she files another address because she is "divorced" so how do i write it on the fafsa if i use my dads info i wouldnt qualify so i dont know how to state the address... would i get caught it i do it as it is on the taxes?

  1. If your mom and dad are divorced or legally separated from each other you only need to put one of their income and their current spouse (your step parent).

    List the physical address on your fafsa you want to get your mail.  

    Anyone qualifies for fafsa in the form of student loans.


  2. FAFSA - if it is asking for your parents information, then you are considered dependent on your parents.

    It should say there if your parents are divorced and what year they divorced/seperated.

    I think you should follow how it is written in the 1040 or your taxes and your parents.

    If you live with your dad, you can indicate his info. I think it only requires for at least one parent info.

    I have a stepdad but i have no idea where he is. Thus, i put 0 on my fafsa for the dad side and just put my mom's info.
