  1. I've run boarding stables before and you always run in to people who think that they are better than anyone else.  There is always someone who blows a statement way out of proportion and causes trouble for everyone else.  If the owner says something to you, tell her exactly what was said.  Chances are she knows this person can be a problem and will take what was said with a "grain of salt".

  2. hahahah. sorry this is just so familiar. tell the barn owner that you had just said you didn't know why there was food still, and that the lady overheard you and took it the wrong way. turn it back around on the stupid boarder(:

  3. Tell the barn owner the truth, and that you are concerned that it may have been misinterpreted, and be done with it.

  4. Tell her what actually happened and apologize for the misunderstanding (that the lady took it the wrong way). If that doesn't work then don't know what will.

  5. if feed is in the stalls, then the horses have feed or are you saying the horses haven't been let into the stalls so they can eat.maybe for entertainment i should hang out at the stables.

hey kevin:you bring the crown, ill bring the coke and we can pull up a bale and watch.

  6. Tell her you said it as a joke. Any one taking a statement like that serious at a successful stable needs a life. And tell the stable owner that. Don't be too nice, 'cuz then later on you will have another question like this one, because you made another statement as a joke and the same person will get mad.

I am sure you want to avoid confrontation, but sometimes its unavoidable. The best way is to get out in the open and all on the table. Other wise it just builds up and there is more tension than whats needed.

    Just ''Cowboy Up!"

    Edit-John, you got it bro!

  7. They are gonna hate you for that. It seems like you are just "trying" to cause trouble. I'm glad you are NOT boarding at MY barn.

  8. Go to the owner and tell her honestly what happened before she gets it second hand and probably blown out of proportion. I think she will probably appreciate the honesty and she'll probably have an answer as to why there was still grain in the stalls.

  9. Just stick to the truth, and don't let the owner be too harsh with you.  Just tell her you just threw the possibility of her not feeding out there as one reason why the grain might still be in the stalls, and that the boarder assumed that must be the right answer.  You should have no blame in this - either the owner was wrong for not feeding, or the boarder was wrong for making too big of a deal about it, or not approaching the owner in a non-combative way.
