I need alittle pointers?

I talk to my teacher about our topic for the essay. Everytime I tried to work on it my mind goes blank. Well she told me how the black plague and all the corruption of the churches in the renaissances affected the art made from different artist. Like their apocalyptic expresssion. So I know like 9 years go everything was affecting the art and surrondings.For example like everything was refered to the end of the world. Like movies "end of days" "lost souls" Because it was the end of the millenium and the start of a new one. Well something like that. Can anybody give me some more topics to write about. That deal with art and its effect because of apocalyptic.

Maybe art is affected by the fear of the Apocalypse because people are more motivated to make a final impression on the earth as we know it... less intimidated by fear of judgment... more committed to making a statement and living each day to the fullest.
