Question:

I need an 800 Phone Service - no joke, no solicitations?

I really need an 800 number in Massachusetts. ATT is 7 cents a minute, Comcast doesn't have it, Verizon is also 7 cents. I am concerned that if I get one of those less than 4 cents per minute plans that they'll go away, I'll lose the vanity number, etc.

Also, a big gotcha - most charge for a minimum of one minute. So, you're popping at least $2.40 or more per call. For a small business, it could kill your business - in one month! Imagine every solicitor getting your number in one month.

So, fees, no mininums, no affiliate programs, and please, someone who is going to be around next year. Who?

  1. We have been with AT&T for quite awhile. I think it is $8.00 a month for the toll free and 6 or 7 cents a minute. They charge for a one minute minmum.

The average call is just a couple of minutes and it is less the 20 cents a call total on average.

Once you get the 800 number, you can port it over to another carrier at any time. You don;t lose the number.
