  1. You didn't tell us how much current it must handle and at what frequency must it work.  That info would really be helpful.

You can probably wind a suitable choke yourself pretty easily.  Get a 4 inch ferrite rod and wind 100 turns or more of #22 or #24 enameled wire on it.  Measure or calculate the inductance in micro-Henries,  Then at the frequency you will use calculate: 2 x pi x frequency in MHz x inductance in uH.  The result should be +/- about 1000 ohms for a decent choke.  Wind more turns if the circuit needs more "choking", fewer if you can get away with fewer turns and want a smaller choke.

You probably have an old ferrite rod antenna in your junk box.  It will make a nice RF choke for a low current application.  Or you can use the core to wind your own.

Good luck and 73 from the Fisherman

  2. A choke or coil would be found in pretty much anything with a receiver - TV's, radio's etc.

    This company has them:

You may be better off getting the exact replacement part from the manufacturer if it a replacement choke for an "off the shelf" piece of equipment.
