  1. It harmed animals! Well of course.

  2. Yes, Certain pines and other trees do drop seeds due to heat and therefore have been helped by the start of new life. Q2. People were killed, trees and other plants died, houses were burnt down. So yes, many organism were hurt by the fires.

  3. i.............i dunno

  4. Yes and Yes.

For the harm part of the question, when an plant or animal is killed in a fire I would call that harm.

But other plants and animals are currently benefiting.  The soil is now very fertile and new plants will have a lot of nutrients.  This new growth will have a positive effect on the whole food chain.  The fire has cleared a whole swath of trees and the canopy no longer blocks the light of smaller plants and shrubs.  New trees will now have an opportunity to grow uninhibited.

For the whole forest the net effect is a benefit.  For humans that is not the case.  But the forest needs it occasionally.
