  1. I belong to an informal group that gathers once a year to camp out.  We always have a memento with the year marked on it that someone is asked to make each year.

Usually it is a bead with a ribbon on some type of finding.  The bead will have the year engraved, painted or etched on it.  We've had hand cut, thin silver ornaments (harder to make) and other more intricate items too.

But I love the bead ones the best - I have a wonderful, colorful collection of them that I have made into a never ending necklace.

  2. Buy some inexpensive beads and the thin elastic and inexpensive crosses (or make the cross with beads too) as an accessory. You can make them for men that look manly or for women. You could also make some bookmarks by cutting religious figures or words and pasting them on a piece of cut poster board and even add fringe for a bible bookmark. Here's a couple ideas.Hope this helps and have a great time at the retreat. God Bless. +

  3. I agree with making your own rosary or bookmark, you can also collect momentos from the retreat, add those to your idea or certain scriptures that pertain to the retreat could be included...

    an inspiring quote...

Also easy to make are beaded necklaces and bracelets, those are great memorable accessories.
