Funny. Inflation is simply too many dollars chasing too few goods. If you are to write an essay, I suggest it be about the central bank (ie: Federal Reserve) allowing the money supply to expand in such a way that enables inflation to occur in the first place. Because a milk producer cannot raise prices if the excess money doesn't exist in the economy.

Why is Zimbabwe's inflation so high? Because their government (central bank) keeps printing new money to pay debt. As such, the money supply becomes oversupplied with dollars that become worth less and less with each new bill printed.
