How about the over forestation of trees from the rain forest:

1. Eliminates a lot of plant life that could be used for medical drugs (some of our current prescriptions are expanded from plant-based properties)

2. Destroys resources that local communities need in their daily lives - a lot of people use these forests for food and sustainable economics

3. Results in negative climate change.  Trees play a role in temperature and rain-fall.

4. Causes local extinction of species, which also can result in an overabundance of pest species, which often leads to increased rates of disease.

Any over use of natural resources is an exploitation. to be specific, any use of synthetic mateial is a deviation from exploitation.
