  1. Bush vs. Gore, Supreme Court Case.  The Supreme Court decided the issue based on their political appointments and didn't follow the constitution.  In doing so they joined with the Executive Branch that appointed them instead of being separate and deciding based on the constitution.  Look for more political appointments on the Supreme Court that ignore the separation between the Judicial Branch and the Executive Branch.

  2. You need to look no further than to the current administration.

"The debate over executive authority is fundamentally about the three-branch structure of the American government and the system of checks and balances. Bush has tried to shift the balance of power toward the executive in nearly every major recent legal battle, from domestic surveillance to Guantanamo Bay."

  3. Poor people cannot afford an attorney to file in the courts; and States refuse to assist citizens with the grievance procedure--there is no access unless citizens can afford an attorney.

  4. Checks and Balances...Well I would say it's when our workers have to have drug test in order to keep their jobs and a lousy unemployed person can collect benefits to spend on the drugs.
