  1. this statement refers to the insight/awareness that differs between the wise and the foolish.

wise man is one who is intellectual and more philosophical, tend to reflect upon his actions and abilities, therefore, overtime, they have a better understanding of themselves. they are more aware of their weaknesses.

the foolish man, on the other hand, is probably impulsive and does not actively reflects on his behaviors. therefore, the foolish man tends to overestimate his abilities.

this statement can be used to describe how the foolish man make more mistakes (unknowingly) than the wise man. also, he who does not know himself or know his weakness can be considered as a foolish man.

  2. example: a wise person knowing their limitation did not bother to reply the answer of this question , but foolish person like me without thinking and limitation give u a senseless, meaning less  answer of this answerless question.

  3. Wise people know when to stop while they are ahead, or know when to stop when the outcome is not worth the process to get there, or when they see they are not able to follow through with something.  The foolish run head first into a bad situation without thinking it through. Foolish do not know when to stop when the bad outcome is staring right at them with big red flags. saying now would be the time to stop to save your own butt.

  4. The wise people know what they can do and cannot do from experience. They have faced alot of things in life and know how to deal with most of them. They know what to fear and avoid.

A fool does not know what they cannot do, therefore he repeats mistakes after mistakes and is not afraid of anything. He is too foolish to understand what his limits are.

"A born child is not afraid of a tiger."

  5. the wise have made their mistakes and not to do them again a fool keeps making mistakes til they realise how to not make them

  6. A wise man would be conscious with their decision making and choice of words. A wise one should know what to say and not say. A fool does not.
