I need an idea fast please!!?

Question

I am having a prince and princess party for my 4 year old and for the girls i have tiaras and wands and for the boys i have hats and I was going to spraypaint paper gold to make royal septars but i'm finding that the spray paint stays on my hands, it rubs off.

So I need something else for the boys to carry? I thought swords but i can't really find any cheap enough to buy 6 of them.

have you checked all the dollar stores, sometimes they have those rubber ones, they shoud be a couple dollars a piece or check the party stores... but dollar stores shoud be way to go!

You could make cardboard swords...

but you'll have to deal with 6 boys playing sword fights for the whole party.

You could make cardboard horse heads and stick them to poles/sticks

Maybe use gold wrapping paper instead of spray-painting paper.

Or give them wands that aren't so feminine.  Harry Potter has a wand after all.

You can buy some modeling baloons and make swords out of them.

Like that they can play and nobody will get hurt.

Another idea is to make treasure maps for the boys and hide a few sweets or bargain gifts around the house.

Spray pant them then spray them with Varnish.  I do a ton of craft stuff and I use it on anything Im afraid will rub off (even keeps chalk in place). The spray can I have is Krylon Kamar Varnish, I got it at walmart...probably 5 dollars or so.
