I need an interesting group to study for my anthropology class. Any Ideas?

I need an interesting group to study for my anthropology class. I was going to do a local tattoo parlor but someone took that idea, its has to be something I could do locally. Any ideas would be great.

if you want to be different and not do a traditional live ethnography, you could study an online group of your choosing. online ethnography has been getting a lot more attention in anthropology and sociology recently...

It seem like you want to do a "outside general society" type of study...You could try a local dive pub and attempt to do a study on the "regulars", low income laborers - maybe a car wash, something in that genre.

check out the zoo. theres groups of all kinds of animals.

It might be fun to check out a coffee house  - they are traditionally venues in which social change is discussed and started.  They also tend to be very social places, and you would probably have an easier time passing as a regular, or at least someone who would go to such a place than, say, a biker bar (unless you are a biker, of course!).
