  1. I agree 100% with Lex.

I'm not sure what you think a high school educated person is qualified for. I've said this before and I'll say it again.

People do not get jobs because they are just somebody they get jobs because they have skills or talents that someone else doesn't have.

I will tell you that employers don't want to hire anyone that doesn't want to associate with people in a friendly and courteous way. Frankly I doubt that anyone wants to work with that person either.

Unless you have a source of income that you can live off of I suggest you cinch up your belt and hit the streets and don't be too awful picky. You have a HS education. In today's world almost every dishwasher, lawn cutter, etc comes to the table with that. What makes you special?

I doubt either answer is what you wanted to hear.

I suspect you wanted someone to yammer on how you are good person and you can get this great job yada yada yada,

Well that isn't the real world.

I would take Lex's advice and start thinking about next year and getting back to school. I don't care if its community college or a tech school. High School educations don't prepare you to be very selective in the job market.

  2. Rather than fall victim to a get rich quick scam - here's what you have to do.....suck it up. At your age, you're stuck for choice when it comes to jobs - no matter where you work, you'll have to pleasent to someone. Your co-workers, the people that you encounter in the course of your job. You don't have to be happy, bubbly or insincere, just be well mannered. I know courtesy is a lost art to the teens of today but to get anywhere in life you have to climb the ladder so put your boots on.

Btw....you can do as I did. I put myself through school doing retail - seven long years to the final degree. That is the worst environment for pleasing people and on the last day of someone yelling in my face, i told him that he was a blessing because I'd always wanted to tell someone to kiss my tushie (not using that word) and he was giving me the chance. I haven't worked retail since and just having that experience was great but it also taught me that people will vent and they'll yell at you and when they do, it's not about you. Good luck.
