In 1965 I gave my daughter up for adoption. I believe that she has changed her name. Any suggestions.

  1. Try The Salvation Army.

They have a better success record than Interpol!

  2. Why did you give her away anyway's if you had parent's and had her your parent's could of taken care

  3. Whilst myself and my cousin were younger { about 8 years ago } and looking for our fathers we were also told the following from the samaritans:

If you were adopted then they would be traceable {doesnt matter how many years ago this happened}..Like ways if the parent is looking for there adopted child or sibling... In which case they also said if either party want to regain contact with the lost relative, the person you are searching for is contacted and asked if they would like to be contacted by the searcher , and if so the they arrange the contact for you.But unfortunately if the person doesnt want to be found they CANNOT pass on there details to you.

This may have changed since then , and hopefully for the better for you.

If you really are willing , as a long shot try and get in contact wit ha television programme as i believe they have more success and know all the loop holes, so i suppose it would be worth giving it a try..

    Good luck..

  4. You need to contact the Adoption Agency or local authority who arranged the adoption - However they may not be able to trace her. I believe that it is only the person adopted who is able to trace biological parents - but it's worth a try. Good luck in your search :~)
