i am new to motorcycles but am buying a new street bike. i am about 5'8" and am concerned i am a little to short but am buying one anyway. i have heard that the gsxr 600 is not as tall as the other bikes. i was wondering if that is true or if any other brand of the 600 is higher or lower.

  1. John,

600 represents the standover height in inches.  Thus, in order to comfortably ride a 600 you would need an inseam of approximately 600 inches, or 50 feet.  At your height a standover of 30 inches is more reasonable, so I think you should look at the gsxr 30, an excellent bicycle, especially for a newcomer to the sport.

  2. The GSXR is lower than most other sport MOTORCYCLES, but why not buy a bike and get fitted to a road bike that uses no gas makes little noise and gives you better fitness?

  3. I like the red ones, but not excursively. since I have run out of cursives.
