  1. Not meaning to undermine you or anything....mike453683

    And i put this broadly

It's wise to be careful with wikipedia... while a great source and information site anyone can change the articles and information on there.. Sometimes the information can be wrong or misleading.... But as long as you run it by other info you'll find through a search engine you'll know whats what. :-)

  2. As always, wikipedia to the rescue! They are usually the best place to start when you are not sure. You get an excellent basic article, and a generous helping of "links". So enjoy, seconds are on the house. And you don't need to sign up or log in!.

And as a PS, while studying and working toward my BS in Plant and Soil, one of my classes in organic agriculture had us evaluate worm casting as a fertilizer. I was impressed ,if for no other reason, at the high nitrogen levels found in the lowly worm casting. A small amount is enough and it is surprisingly easy to burn a plant with them. And given the ability of worms to compost, and all that they can do in an agriculture environment, they surely don't get the recognition they deserve except for the occasional fish they lure to the fry pan.

  3. These first two articles are very good, the third is a commercial site that may give you some information you can use.

  4. Do an internet search...

  5. You can worm compost even in apartments.  It's very easy, and if you follow the general guidelines you'll have compost within a few months.

    Good luck!

  6. With the explosion in organic farming/production and consumer awareness of organic products, there is a wealth of information available on the subject of producing compost with worms.  I have included several links that should provide you with with comprehensive information on the subject.

As a side note, this a convenient, natural way produce compost at home, whether for the garden or if you live in an urban environment, flower pots on your balcony.  It is easy & odorless, and you can compost right under your kitchen sink!
