Hi! I baby sit two chinse adopted girls and they do not get along AT ALL! One is 7 and one is 5. The older one does not want to share, throws terrible temper tantrums, hits her sister, and thinks she is the boss. The younger girl also throws tantrums (not as bad as the older one), is scared of her older sister, and is spoiled rotten. Scratch that....they are both spoiled rotten. So, I need help with ideas to get them to share, play together, and get along. Please....I'm Desprate!

  1. Tantrums

When a child is having a tantrum you need to figure out what it is about, if it is something they can't have then tell the child, " You can have it" Than carefully move toys out of there way and go play with the other child, but ignore the screaming little girl....tough but needed. When they calm down look at them and say "You do not behave like that and than say go sit in time out until you calm down completely.

    Toys and sharing,

Just remove any toys that they can't share and eventually they will understand that we don't get it at all if we don;t share.

  2. I think it might be better to have them play seperately until they learn to get along. As their mother if the other one can have a friend over while you entertain the 5yo. If that won't happen, try haveing them make cookies or build a thousand peice puzzle. Or watch a movie.

  3. Just put them in their rooms for the night - nothing fun. God, I hate spoiled brats.

  4. Talk to their mom and see what method she would like you to use.
