what kind of nuts go in banana bread? and when im making it should it be kinda chunky?

  1. Yes - your batter will be really lumpy. You can use pecans or walnuts in your bread depending upon taste.


  2. Walnuts go great in banana bread.  It shouldn't be very chunky, except for the nuts themselves.  

  3. Walnuts! although I prefer pecans. Chuncky because of the nuts, the batter itself shouldn't be chuncky, but it won't be cake batter smoothe either.

    I prefer banana bread without nuts. As a matter of fact, I just made banana bread yesterday, and used butter instead of shortening, flavored it with vanilla and fresh lemon rind. Absolutely delicious!

  6. traditionally-  Walnuts.  they can be broken up in half or in pieces.  It shouldn't be too chunky, you can add fresh bananas to the dough easily, and it will turn out fine.  Just make sure you dice the banana to a size slightly larger than a pea.   Good luck
