I need birthday party ideas for a gal turning 12!?

I dunno wat to do 4 my niece's b'day party? I dunno wat to do to celebrate the coming of being a teen for her and wat to let her do and not let her do. My brother's overseas for work and he asked me to take care of my niece since i have no kids. And wat sorta theme shud I do for her tat's not 'too' embbarrassing? Somethin average I think, but fun.

Throw amassive party and invite her friends and family. And let her think of the theme so she would like it cause if you choose a theme and she dose not like she will think it was a **** party and do something herself anyways.

All my daughters friends take a group of mates to somewhere special for the day, or you could have a birthday disco.

No lol, Well unless she likes Hannah Montana. First I think you should talk to her and see what she likes, that should be a BIG help.

What to do - Let them have fun, dont keeping asking them if 'their okay' or 'do they need anything' or 'are you sure?' If they want anything they will ask you.

What not to do - Dont let them drink, smoke, or get to close to boys. haha

Well...if you want an establishment to take care of it.. here are a few things I liked doing..at 12/13.... roller skating /ice skating rinks  are cool...u can throw a decent party there... or somewhere cool she likes to go. If you want to have it at home... and u dont know what she likes like hanna montana or whatever than maybe just do a general theme... like pink and black party streamer.. pink and black balloons...more at home ideas are..  having a big cook out and a pool party... or if its cold...ordering pizzas and having cake... watching movies.. No matter where you have the party though... in or out doors... i would definetly let them listen to music of there choice...maybe let them do some kareoke if u can... some cool ideas are

-SLUMBER PARTY everyone love them!

-DISCO PARTY if you don't have a big enough space rent somewhere out

-she if she wants to pick a few friends to go shopping with and watch a movie

-bowling, mini golf something like that if you don't want to put in alot of effort

-maybe you could rent a kareoke machine thier always fun!

-one of the coolest parties i've been to is a survivor theme like the show and they printed of t-shirts and things.

remember

-ask her what she wants to do dont decide for her she's old enough now.

-ask her what presents she wants aswell dont geuss !!

-try not to get TOO involved in the party it can be a little embarrassing sometimes

- another cool idea is becuase she's turning 12 , make it so the guests have to wear 12 items of clothing

- dont organise kiddie games either

I'm thinking make it a celebrity studded type affair. Have movie posters hanging, maybe do a "concert" with karaoke. Have them walk down a red carpet into the party room.

Have some games like celebrity match. they have to match up pictures of celebrities that are dating/married.

You can serve them sparkling non-alcoholic drinks in champagne flutes. They can come totally glammed up. (It's fun to feel grown up.)
