I need cash soon. I Have some electronics that i could sell... help!?

Question

I have a laptop that is in good condition. i bought it for $700 bucks. I also have a ipod and a portable dvd player. I don't know if I should go to a pawnshop and sell my stuff, or just pawn it. or e-bay. but I’m not too sure how long it would take to sell on e-bay, And when i would get my money! I've never done it before. But I’m kind of desperate. I have a bunch of medical bills to pay off!

You could also try craigstlist.

ebay payments can be instant if you require it through paypal, but you have to wait for them to be sold.

You prob have about a $100 worth of stuff at a pawn shop. I shop them and I know how they work.

I have a client that is a collection agency. He will tell you that the majority of bad debt in this country is medical bills. If you call them and work out a payment plan that you can do every month they will take it. Try and negotiate some reduction in bills many will be amicable to that.

The key is to only promise what you know you can pay. Don't call them back two months later asking again.

If you are in reasonable health where you can give plasma you could make money doing that and use that to pay your bills. Plus you'd be helping a good cause.

If you put it on ebay you have the option to list it for 3, 5, or 7 days. Or you could put a price on it to BUY IT NOW. A buy it now is a price that you put on your item that you want out of it and if someone is willing to pay you price they just click the buy it now and the item is sold. You can require immediate payment! I would go on ebay and look at thing that are similar to yours and see how much they are bringing.
