I need caterpillar help!?

Question

Okay, I have some caterpillars and I had put some fur in the cage. I looked in today and there was a caterpillar in the fur wrapped up and not moving. I was about to pick it up and then I realized it was a cacoon. Will it turn into a buterfly? How long will it be in there for? Will they all do that? How do I care for it? How do I clean the cage? Best answer goes to whoever answers all of my questions and answers them good. Sorry I explained so much.

caterpillars aren't exactly considered as a normal pet,you know.they just let loose in the wild.

on to your questions:

♦Will it turn into a butterfly?of course.it depends on what KIND of butterfly is that when it will hatch.just wait for now.

♦How long will it be in there for?again,it depends on what kind.

♦Will they all do that?turn onto a cocoon and be a butterfly?of course all caterpillars do that.it's called "metamorphosis".

♦ How do I care for it?let it be.you cannot do anything about it for now.if you touch it,it might die.cocoons are very fragile,you know.

♦How do I clean the cage?no touching of the cage.you might disturb it.after all,nothing will actually harm it while it is in its cocoon stage.it is highly protected in there.

i suggest setting free.a butterfly's average life span is only up to 21 days.and make those 21 days of its life great.set it free.
