I need color help!!!?

I am decorating a teen playroom with a tv and games in it. They want it to be retro with fun bold colors. Any color themes???

Retro colors from the 50's are turquoise blue and salmon.  Everything- cars, appliances, etc., were these colors!  Get some of those awful butterfly chairs, and you're all set!

Turquoise is a hot color right now and depending upon your tastes and perhaps what furniture you already have, can be paired with many other colors.  Turquoise and brown with white trim, maybe turquoise and lime green, or turquoise and orange - you get the idea.  You can tape off sections of the wall and paint stripes or patterns and then carry that over to table tops or window treatments.  Roman shades can be painted, even mini blinds can be painted....have fun with it!  You can even stencil matching stripes or accent patterns on lampshades. Be creative, you can pull together a great room without splashing out tons of cash. Websites like Snapfish will blow up favorite photos into posters for just a few bucks - back them with bright foam board and use them as art.  Hilarious family shots, or favorite places, team photos or even family pets all look great as posters. You can choose color or black and white. Colorful throw pillows (which you can make pretty cheaply) or bean bags and ample storage will make any room teen friendly.  If you're looking for retro find a cheap entertainment center at a garage sale or Goodwill and paint it a bold color - then freehand or stencil peace signs, funny sayings, flowers, smiley faces,etc all over it. Better yet - paint it with glow in the dark paints.  Insert the tv, game systems,etc and top it with a lava lamp or two - FUN!

For a boy try some liget brown, red, and blue. This could be in shapes or just each color on seperate walls.

For a girl try some blue, beige, purple, and red with different shapes or just the color.

when re-decorating home, bedroom or any other room, always try to choose colors according to feng shui. in this case you will activate powers of 5 elements (water, earth, metal, wood and fire) and support all your lucky "areas" - this will attract love, romance, wealth, money, prosperity, luck etc etc
