go to  C and go to cookies and try finding Yahoo messenger

cookies are valid for a particular session. after the particular session, cookies becomes useless text files. you can't use it to access old messages.

If u want to access cookies in an windows box, here is the procedure

i have assumed you have installed windows in C drive. here is the path

C:\Documents and Settings\lipu\Cookies

where lipu is the user name of your system

Cookies do NOT do this. They simply put a marker on the machine to allow sites to identify you when you return so they do not need to collect personal information to get your settings back.
