I need contacts for hud assistance disabled senior ?

bergen county i truly need help, will be homeless in 3 months 59 yrs old disabled female. applied to senior buliding, the wait is to long. help

Look up your local Senior Citizen Associations.  You can contact the local hospital and ask for a case manager to get some ideas for help as well. You can also try contacting an assisted living home for direction.

Contact Social Security Association and the office of public assistance.

Bergen County Housing Authority

The Housing Authority of Bergen County operates 11 subsidized housing buildings for Senior and Disabled Citizens. For information on County housing, rent subsidy, etc., or to obtain an application, contact the Housing Authority.

Contact the nearest local Independent Living Center (ILC). They should be able to give you contact information for HUD assistance.

You are never going to get help from HUD in 3 months. You need to look at senior housing - any senior housing and get on their lists. Contact your Local Area Agency on Aging and ask for emergency assistance. HUD is not designed to deal with emergency housing issues on an individual basis.

You have a phone....go to your phone book and look up hud..it might be in the yellow pages and dial...They will say hello and you say hello and then tell then what you need....its that easy....
