I need cross country workouts?

i am going to be a junior and i want to train for cross country starting now since i a now in summer but i need workouts to do it or strategies can anybody help me

  4. my coach used to always tell us good cross country runners are made in June and July not July and August. My advice would be to just start running. Start at 2 miles a day and for the first month only add 1/2 a mile a week, so by the end of that month you will be at 4 miles a day than after that if you feel the need to you could add 1/2 a mile to a mile a week. Every now and again I would change up your workouts though to keep you from getting to bored doing the same old thing. Things that you could possibly do would be going on a trail run, driving to a new place that you have never run before, do a speed workout, run with some friends or think of something else. Just make sure that if you train with friends they are at about the same level with running as you because if they are a lot better than you, you may just have a bad run and never want to run again and if they are worse than you, you just won't get a good run in at all so just make sure that they are at about the same level.
