  1. i think they pretty much gave you all of them...

    platform

    be on your toes

stay focused... seems easy but isn't

before you go, practise extensions on your carpet (if you have burns that means your not doing them right, so do them till you get them right)

practise your bumping before you go

    good luck =]

  2. If you want to be a back row passer, here's a couple of things you need to concentrate on:

    1) Be in ready position - If you are standing straight up when you pass the ball, it's not going to go anywhere and if it does, it's not going to go to your setter! (which is where it needs to go)

    2) Don't Swing - Just put your "platform" out and give the ball a little push but not too much to get the ball to the setter.  If you are back farther on the court...then you might have to swing a little bit to get the ball up to the setter.

    3) Know Where you Are on the Court - Calling the ball and knowing where the ball is going will help you in games. That way...people know that you have the ball and you won't cause a head on collision.

    4) Dive if you have to - If the ball is served or passed short, do whatever you have to do to get there and up under the ball. Sprawl or dive, but DON'T go down on your knees...trust me I've done that before and it hurts!

Those are all the tips I can think of for right now! Good Luck tomorrow!

  3. you always need to be off of your heels so you can easily move forward. also always be aware of the ball, and your body in relativity with it.

  4. Well, while on the back row, have a good, wide base to help with hard spikes. Also, don't jerk or swing arms while returning a hit. This causes the ball to go everywhere!!! If you're on the front, and you're tall try to angle your hands over the net to cause the ball to go straight back down. However, if you're short, try to shadow the blocker(s) for short tips.
