I need details about Boston Loyalists journey to Canada.

I'm writing a fictional story for my history class. I've been doing research but can't seem to find details about the trip from Boston to Nova Scotia. I would like details about the form of transportation, the length of the trip, the condtions of the trip etc. If you can recommend any good books to read I would greatly appreciate that also.
