  1. Put some things inside a box and have them blind fold and have them stick their hand out to guess what it is. If they get it right award them.

  2. Make paper airplanes. :D There is a Comcast On Demand show about it, or find instructions online. The kids get to help fold up the airplanes (don't push too hard, some don't feel up to it) then play with the results! Make many different styles and test flying abilities of each.

All you need is one pair of scissors, (sometimes you need square paper) and regular 8 x 11 paper! You can make other origami things as well. Kids from 1 to 14 love paper airplanes.

  3. I saw an ad for those crayola First crayons... its like ball and it rolls on the paper. I think they r real cool.

  4. get 26 index cards (actually about twice that to account for mistakes) have them write a-z on the the cards.  Then, let them go through old magazines and cut out any pictures that appeal to them.  After they are done cutting out the pics, help them to figure out what letter the picture they cut out starts with.  Then, use stick glue to glue the appropriate picture to the corresponding letter.  I did this with my 4 year old daughter last night and she really enjoyed it.

  5. When my b/f son was three he loved those felt pictures you can color.. that you cant go out of the lines... also just about anything that you would like.. finger paints, glitter glue.. stamps... stickers.. GL!

  6. Here's some ideas:

~Sidewalk chalk - they can draw on the sidewalk or driveway, if it's paved

~If you have an old table or work area, spray shaving cream on it, let them spread it over the table with their hands, and draw in it

    ~Coloring or painting

~Games: hide and seek, leapfrog, hop scotch,

  7. i have a three year old and a four year old i give them safety scissors,  construction paper, crayons markers, stick glue, coloring books and pencils and let them go to town they love it.  save Popsicle sticks too and they love making me picture frames from pipe cleaners and tongue depressors.

  8. I have a four year old sister and if she sits down with toy cars or blocks she'll be playing for a long time. She also likes playing hide-and-go-seek (for some game ideas) and balls are good too. Every kid loves to play games with all kinds of balls. Kids love colouring, so arts and crafts, like even just painting is good. I hope I helped.

  9. everything!! make musical instruments (bottles and rice/pasta/etc) .

make animal pictures using different shapes (circles-face, triangles-nose or ears etc)

    painting people (family/aliens/monsters etc)

make playdough (1 bag flour, paint, 3 small cups water, dollop of oil- mix!)

paper mache (1:2 pva glue and water, dip in news paper)

    good luck!
