I need eight internal doors on a budget. Can anyone help, please?

I need eight internal doors and two external doors too. I've done a thorough search of the net and trawled "Y.Answers" but unfortunately, 'cos I'm in North (northest) Wales everything is just too far away. If I find a good cheap door (I get crippled by delivery).

The house is an old cottage so I'd like something with a bit of charachter and I can't afford the Wickes & B&Q prices. Builders merchants' don't seem to publish prices...

I suppose I'm hoping there's someone in the trade out there that knows a really good place in North Wales that sells cheap doors?

Do you have any salvage yards close by? That is where I get most of my supplies. If not in your home town, maybe one within an hour drive would work?

It's worth trying on your local Freecycle network. Link to UK list of regional sites is:

It's wonderful what some people will give you (and I mean GIVE) - just ask and see what happens! The idea is, of course, that you will also us Freecycle to give away unwanted items of your own - then everybody wins!

up by where you are there is an exhibition company i am not allowed to say the name on here but try all the firms in the book as we don't just do exhibitions, we can help with other stuff as well...

Try Freecycle and local reclamation yards to get something with real character, new pine always ages to an unattractive orangey ginger colour that won't suit your home.

make your own with T & G and  2 x 1 , what's wrong , man , look good . Tongue and Groove !

Is anybody tearing down old houses near you? Check it out. You could also buy plain doors, and add the character yourself.
