  1. Factor out x^2:

    x^2(4x^2 -18) =0

    x^2 = 0

    x =0

    4x^2 = 18

    x^2 = 18/4 = 4.5

    x = + or - sqrt4.5

  2. 4x4-18x2=0

    2x2(x2-9)=0

    2x2(x-9)(x+9)=0

    so 2x2=0 or x-9=0 or x+9=0

    so x=0, 9, -9

  3. 4x^4-18x^2=0

    2x^2(2x^2-9) =0

    So IF

    2x^2 = 0

    .x = 0

    OR

    2x^2 - 9 = 0

    2 x^2 = 9

    x^2 = 9 /2

    x = √ 9/2

    x = ± 3 / √2

    x = (3/2)/√2 or  -(3/2)√2
