Its for my sister and I am they only person standing up. I'd like to have it at my house, I'm thinking 80's theme, or no theme at all. I need ideas for games, decorating, food, favors, things to keep it moving! (I am only serving beer and wine to keep cost down)

  2. have a toy party

  3. Get a pinata. It will be the last time she can do something so silly and fun.Fill it with condoms, brillo pads, candy and mardi gras beads. She will love it and it will be hysterical on film or photos.Just bake a cake or buy one.Simple sandwiches are always great with some good rolls.Keep it light.Maybe make a toss salad to add if you like.Do toilet paper bride and maybe have a walk down memory lane with photos of them being passed around.I will disagree with one answer though Do not bring up any EXs that part of life is the past. Its really about congradulating the bride anyway. It should be a naturally happy time no matter what you do for the bacherlorette party.Have fun!

  4. 80s parties are great! I have one every year for my girlfriends during opening hunting weekend! We have a blast- the best part is seeing everyone walk in in their 80s outfits- its hilarious!!!!!!! you guys are our same ages.

heres what I do at my parties-

play all 80s music, I got a 8 disc set off ebay for cheap, or you can download a bunch, or Best buy has mix Cds of top hits

have a special prize for best dressed- everyone votes for the best dressed later on after playing games- have a special prize for the winner like a good 80s movie (maybe two incase of a tie, and if not you can always return it or keep it for yourself!) Walmart has bins of $5 movies and I always find good 80s ones in there

I make up 80s trivia questions also, I've seen a bunch of 80s trivia games you can buy though in the stores (send me your email address and I can send you the ones I have if you'd like), you can also do some prizes for top winners of these also

I also play a present exchange game- everyone brings a wrapped present no more than $5- it can be anything- and I also supply more presents that I've picked up for cheap one more per person attending (you don't have to do that, if everyone brings one gift or you just supply one gift per person that is OK too) then we all get in a circle and take turns rolling one dice, first person to roll #1 can pick a prize and open it, next person to get #2 can either steal another persons present or pick from the pile. keep going down the line of #s untill all the presents are gone, if you're only doing one present per person and you allready have a prize and roll the # you can exchange yours for someone elses, and if doing more than one prize per person just make sure at the end everyone has something- some people may have more than two. once all the prizes are gone set a time limit to keep the fun of stealing going! it gets really exciting since some girls will be stealing back and forth for that one really cool prize! and when you've had a couple drinks it's even more exciting! last time it got down to the very last seconds of these two girls fighting over a pair of pajama pants!!!!! it was great!

for decoarations you can find some posters of 80s music groups or movies- big hair bands would be great! otherwise you can get away with just doing neon decorations like streamers and balloons from the dollar store

for favors- if you're not doing the prize game- you can make mix CDs for everyone of your sisters fav 80s songs, make a cute CD cover with a picture of her form the 80s and her bachlorette party onfo on it.

if doing a cake maybe you can get a picture cake made with that same picture on it- or even make a picture board of all her 80s pics on it

make sure to take lots of pics of the party, and a good group shot! then take the best group shot and print it out on cardstock paper with a color printer and turn them into thank you cards that your sister can send out to everyone who attended!

have a "Like Totally Awesome Time!"

  5. You could have a lingerie party. Nothing tacky (unless you want to get a little crazy). 80's theme is cool or you could do a "hippy" party. There are a lot of "hippy" things out now like peace symbols and such that you could give away as favors (incense, candles, beads, small leather bags, etc.). Does your sister have a theme for her wedding? I have heard of a game where the guests divide in groups if there is enough people and each group picks a "bride" and makes a "wedding gown" out of just toilet paper and the real bride is the judge. (Just a thought.) Have fun.

  6. charade is always good

make questions! like if you are going to date an ex, who would it be and why. and what is the happiest drunken moment of your life. it's a bachelorette party. make her reflect all the good times she had and remember them.

you really don't need a theme, it's the experience that people remember. food, you can do with finger foods and canapes.

    CHEAP IDEAS

*mix some grated cheddar with roasted chopped bell peppers. roll a piece of loaf bread real flat. spread with the cheese mixture and roll like a sushi. cut into bite sized pieces.

*Buy some cake and slice em into small pieces. that way girls won't get conscious about how much they ate because it's small they won't feel that they are eating a lot.

*make some mini pizzas on some toasted loaf bread or french bread. Cut em up in small pieces, put some tomato sauce and whatever you like, tomatoes, pepperoni, veggies.

*slice some fruits, (mangoes, watermelon, oranges, apples, strawberries, grapes) mix em all together. make sure you have small plates where they can eat it.

*plenty of wine and girly drinks.

*you're the only person so try to keep things simple and easy but fun.

*I really don't like weenie things. I hope you don't too.

*you can make crab cakes. try to keep things healthy.

*try to make some of my cajun chicken fingers:

    Cajun chicken fingers

4 chicken b*****s, cut into strips

1-2 thumbs ginger, very finely minced

    1 green onion, finely minced

    garlic, as preferred(paste)

*Marinade chicken in everything, season with salt and pepper. (30 minutes)

    Batter:

    240g. flour

    240g. milk

    1 egg beaten

    juice of half a lemon

    Bread crumbs

*Dip chicken in batter and roll in bread crumbs. Deep fry.

    Serve with:

    Honey mustard sauce

    1 tbsp. mustard

    2 tbsp. honey

    1 cup mayo
