I need goals for my job evaluation , any suggestions ?

I work at an adult day program for the mentally challenged.

These are just suggestions, just in case you disagree.

-Coordiante and facilitate proper developmental programs for the patients.

-Coordinate events to promote awareness and involvement throughout the community.

-Supervise shifts.

-Assist staff, patients, families with written/verbal language translation.

-Maintain filing system up-to-date.

Are the goals for you or are they meant to be for the individuals you work with.

For you try:

Facilitate appropriate communication between staff and clients. - This will involve the staff being able to communicate with each client via their chosen communication methods. It may also include assisting clients to communicate with each other via their chosen communication methods.

Treat clients age appropriately.

Implement person centered planning - this is where the person is the center of the plan. Meaning they have an input into what they get to do on the plan.

For clients you could have goals such as:

To become involved in the decision making process of planning

To communicate with a number of people in all areas (including the program, home and in the community)

To participate in the community

There aer probably more but these are what I can come up with at the moment. You really need to tailor the goals to either yourself or your clients. It will also depend on your position in the program.

I don't have any knowledge in you field - but here are some general suggestions :

- Implementation of new programs

- Increasing the success rate of existing programs

- Social awareness creation on mentally challenged people.

- Improving cost effectiveness - not necessarily by cost cutting

- Look for newer funding sources for your programs

- Improve the image of your organization in society
