  1. its good, , ,memory video card the specs are good

  2. as a computer engineer, i find dell to be the best computers and best company to deal with.  i wouldnt buy a dell from bestbuy, i would buy it directly fromm dell, but only buy a dell, your will be able to get exact same computer for less.  i wouldnt own an hp or ibm or sony or any other brand if u gave them to me for free, and hp is least favorite i would own, not that the computers are bad but i hate dealing with the other companies.

the computer you show is fine, except it says it has 6 GB of RAM, the only problem is unless u get a 64 bit version of Vista, the 32 bits versions will only read 4 GB of ram.  And the ad doesnt specify if its vista ultimate 32 or vista ultimate 64.  Buying a 64 bit version of vista is fine.  On paper a 64 bit version is much better than the normal 32 bit versions.  64 bits are much faster, also allot more secure and a better operating sytem all around.  the one huge drawback to vista 64 is you are very limited to the software that will run on it, and even more limited as to printers that will run.

In my home office, i work out of my house, i use vista ultimate 32, vista business 32 and vista business 64, on 3 seperate machines, and allot of common software i have will not run on the 64 bit version, suchs a quickbooks 2008, roxio cd burner, andmany others, so whatever u buy, even though the 64 bit version is better, there isnt enough over the counter software on the market to swintch to vista 64 .

  3. Go to Dell's site and see what it costs from them direct.

Best Buy isnt the best place to buy, probably the worst place to buy from

    See Dell site below:.

  4. best buy is a complete ripoff. you are barely better off with circuit city, if you are going to a real store.

otherwise, you should stick to mail-order companies like HP or Dell. they give good support for the average person, but charge a premium. however, they rarely try to sell you c**p for inflated prices (unlike best buy, which is both expensive and inferior.)

if you feel brave, go to www.tomshardware.com/charts to figure out what components you absolutely need, and then www.pricewatch.com to find a vendor.

  5. honestly that PC is overkill for what you are going to use it for.  on the other hand, if you are looking for a pc that will still be pretty fast several years from now, then this is the pc for you.

  6. you should build one from scratch its more convenient.

  7. i would look at Compaqs, since they are what you want- a simple computer to do simple tasks like surfing the internet, and typing stuff up, and they usually have a good enough graphics card to run old games, and they are very fast for a relatively cheap computer

  8. Here is the best place for computer help and advice.....

    http://www.iquorum.net

  9. Your video card is terrible, but everything else is good. If you buy this, look into buying a video card upgrade, which may include getting a new power supply.

  10. sounds like a perfect match for what you need and not a bad price for the package i would buy it if i were you.
